Doing a split stay and was wondering will the second part of my stay load automatically onto my Magic bands? Mostly concerned about room key. Also I am going from a studio to a 2 bedroom with another family, how will the credit card linked to my account know which family to charge for incidentals? TUA

The best way to ensure that your MBs will work at the second resort is to physically check out of the first resort. Even then, it's possible that they may not work at the second one. You might still need to visit the front desk at the new resort to have the MB reprogrammed. All tickets and FP+ are part of MDE and are not tied to the resort that you are staying at.

The credit card linked to your MDE account will be the one used for online check in. If you do not want the other family to have use of that card, do not give them the PIN number you use for check in. If they would like to put their own card down for charging purposes, then they will have to visit the front desk to have that arranged. You will still need to be vigilant about checking room charges because even though you take proactive steps, charges often end up going on the wrong credit card account on your room folio.

This reminds me of a funny instance I had with MBs. The short answer is yes, the same MB works for your entire stay. However, in the early days of Magic Bands, I had a 3 way split stay so I got, yes, 3 Magic Bands. Then dummy me (I thought) I forgot to change MBs when I went from stay #1 to check in to stay #2. "No problem" the front desk CM said, she took my MB, did some Mickey head to Mickey head magic, made the green light spin around, waited for me to go "Ooooh!", then handed it to me "All set!" So I didn't have to use MB #2. When I switched to stay #3, I just tried out the first MB and it worked, even without magic stuff at the front desk. So I came home with 2, brand new, never used, Magic Bands.
Sorry, I don't know about the credit card, though. Always pay the old-fashioned way-cash!

Your magic band has no information on it. It is merely a 'key' if you will to your account in My Disney Experience. Therefore if you have a magic band in your MDE app that is active, it will 'work' for everything you have in your MDE. That includes rooms and food and everything else. You can even attach a credit card to your MDE account and the magic band will reference the MDE account and charge accordingly.

Again, nothing is stored on your magic band.. it has no capability for memory.
