Magic Bands, Memory Maker, & Ride Photos

I've heard that if you have memory maker and are on a ride that takes photos it automatically links your photos to your magic band. How does this work? I don't have to tap my magic band somewhere, it just does it for me? I just want to make sure I don't miss out on any pictures/videos.

Yep it just does it! Just be sure the people in your party are linked to your account in MDE so their ride photos will show up too!

Just do the rides and check later for the pics. You can even contact them if there are lost pictures. We even got a video from ToT!

The other available video is 7DMT. I was a bit unsure at first how well the bands would work, but I did not miss any ride pictures and you don't need to do anything, the long range RFID readers just find your band and link the photos.

On our last trip, due to an unfortunate game of table hockey at BOG, we found that all the rose is is is a plastic case with a Magic Band inside.

Be careful with the videos (ToT and 7DMT). THe person that purchased memory maker has to be on the ride to get the video. For example, DH and I did child swap. When I rode, I had video since I'm the person that purchased the memory maker. However, DH did not get video since he didn't purchase it (even though he was linked to the account). I still got DH's pictures, but not the video. The next time we just had DH take my MB on the ride with him to get the video.

I purchased the Memory Maker package. Do I have to link the package to everyone on my friends & family account or is it done automatically? When I look at their accounts it shows as 0 for Memory Maker but mine says 1.

The pictures should still show up, but you would need to buy them individually at the per picture cost. Yes, you can definitely use your MB for photopass, all the photographers have readers that can scan your band when they take the picture.
