Magic bands for split stay

DH and I made our first DVC reservation last Friday (a split stay at 3 resorts.). I went to My Disney Experience and linked the reservations. Then went to customize my magic bands. They are asking me to customize magic bands for each reservation. Is that correct? Will we get three sets? If so, how will I know which ones go to which resorts? Can't I put all three on one magic band?

Yes, you will get three sets of Magic Bands. Nothing is stored directly on the MBs, however, so all three sets will work interchangably during your stay. Each one is created especially for the specific guest and will read whatever (hotel stay, park tickets, FP+ selections, etc.) is in his/her profile at the time the band is scanned. We have ordered a different color each time and now have a full set.

The MBs can be brought back trip after trip and will continue to work. They will read whatever is linked to your MDEx profiles on each trip.

We inactivate our extra bands and leave them at home. You only need one band each.

We like to have multiple colors with us so we can coordinate them with what we are wearing each day. We also like having at least one back up with us, just in case.

We had a split stay. I will admit that I liked having the different color options for each day depending on my mood.

Yep, we had three sets for our June vaca. We put the resort initials next to our names. Some of our party had different colors for each split stay
