Magic Bands for split stay for "extra" FP?

We have a split stay coming up in June, and my parents are planning on taking our two kids to Blizzard Beach for the day while my husband and I go to HS and Epcot. Can the kids use their Magic Bands to enter Blizzard Beach, while we take their second set to Epcot for FPs? This way my husband and I could use our 3 in HS and their 3 in EP. Anyone know if this will work?
