Magic bands for off-site stays

My family is staying off-site for the first time ever (a friend offered her vacation home!). I have an annual pass and just bought tickets for DH and DD.

Not sure how I proceed on magic bands. My husband has one from another trip - I was hoping that I could like the new ticket to the old band? Can't figure out how to, and I should mention that I just bought the ticket today so I don't have it in hand yet.

DD doesn't have a band. I'm going to buy her one. How do I link her tickets to the purchased band?

I thought I was pretty savy with the DISNEY web site but I feel like it is sending me in circles.

You can buy a new MB and link its NUMBER to a MyDisneyExperience account in the section that asks for that MB information.
MB can be bought from www.disneystore.com

If you buy a new ticket, its order confirmation number (-OR- the actual number printed on the ticket if you oder it sent to you) can be connected to a MyDisneyExperience account in the section that asks for that ticket information.

I did it for the first time through my disney experience. It was really easy to link my tickets. I just went through the prompts. I did it on the computer not my phone app though. I'm staying offsite too. Once I linked my tickets ..there was a place to link the mb. It was really easy. I just a signed it to a person and then put in the number

so...and thanks for your patience...if I've linked the new ticket to the husband's name on My Disney Experience - his old magic band (which shows active) will already be linked to these new tickets?

I just purchased a magic band for DD...will deal with that in 4-5 days!
