Magic bands for kids - not hooked into credit card?

Hi all! I am wondering how this works with kids. The last thing I want is for their magic bands to be linked to our credit card...I shudder to think what the bill would look like! But are you allowed to have magic bands that are NOT linked to a credit card? I mean, ultimately, they will be with one of us all the time anyway, so they probably wouldn't realistically be able to buy a bunch of stuff. Plus they are (usually) good kids who (usually) do the right thing...but the power of the mouse is strong! I just think I would prefer if they couldn't charge things to the room on their magic bands.

How have other parents handled this? Am I being silly and should just, oh, I don't know, supervise my kids better?

When setting up the magic bands, you have the option of whether to have charging privileges or not. Just check no for the kids.

Yes, as PP said, you can choose to only have adults with charging privileges. I then let my 8yos use my band if I'm busy with the little ones and they want to get in line for small purchases like a drink, popcorn, etc.

Not only can you select who is capable of charging through the bands but you also are assigning a pin code to each person. Without the code you cannot charge through that account.

You can't charge without using the PIN number. IF you don't tell the kids the pin number, they can't charge anything.

Thanks for all the great information! Didn't know about setting up a PIN number, but that makes a lot of sense. Whew!
