magic bands at Little League World Series

went to the little league world series in williamsport pa and they had a system very similar to a magic band to register at the different vendors display booths to recieve give aways

found that very intersting will magic bands be all over now

The locker rentals at the water park at Hersheypark are like that. You get a thin plastic bracelet that is activated to open a certain locker.

The great wolf lodge used similar bands before Disney made them popular. RFID bands have been around for a while.

Hmm interesting. My husband and son were there and didn't mention it. I'm sure if my 5 year old saw it, he would've definitely reported back. He can't wait for his Magic Band to come!

RFID is already everywhere. It's used in shipping labels, it's in my ID card at work...

It's used by cruise lines as well. The great wolf lodge water parks and resorts have had them in their resorts for a long time as well. They are already everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually universal uses some type of RFID system.

Even if they don't go with a full "magic" system I think RFID is inevitable. I mean the shipping labels that contain them are less than 50 cents so the cost is negligible on that end, it's just the infrastructure for reading them.
