Magic bands at HHI or just room key?

I am guessing that at Hilton head there are no magic bands -- is it just a room key that you have? How do they make sure those in the pool or using their club house are actually staying at the resort?

MagicBands are only used at WDW and the Kids Clubs on DCL. At all other resorts, you will use your room key.

The Hilton Head Resort Beach House is accessible only with an active key card.
