For our pre cruise stay we have 2 reservations because that was the only way I could get the resort I wanted at a discount...1 night resssie and then a 2 night ressie. Then post cruise I have a 3rd ressie for 1 night.

I don't need 3 sets of magic bands. I see where I can decline the extras, but how do I then make sure that the one set I do opt to get will work for our tickets and rooms for the 2nd two reservations?

I have about a dozen different bands. I just grab the one I want to wear for that day. Sometimes it is because of the color and sometimes it is because it is a band I purchased and I want that style.

One band, registered to me, is the same as the next.

Any MagicBand that's linked to your MDE profile will work for any reservation, tickets, etc. that's linked to the same profile.
Yup - the info above works.

I had one of every color in the original magic band style and started just declining them. Now that there is the new style, I figure once I have one in every color, I'll decline them again.
Plus I have my special design ones that I've bought. They all work with any reservation or tickets. The only time I have an issue is when playing the Sorceror of the Magic Kingdom. The info doesn't move from band to band on that. I've solved that by bringing a tag from home that I can put on the band I used to play it and if I'm going to play it on more than one day, I just make sure I have the band with the SOTMK info on it with me - usually in my backpack if it doesn't match my outfit for the day.

We recently did a split stay and accepted the 2nd set of magicbands so we could have two colors. None of them worked upon going to the room so they all had to be reset at the front desk. Technically they should have been fine since already linked in my MDE account. Once they were fixed, we had no issues at either resort.

When you say, "they all" had to be reset, do you mean each and every band each person used? Or just one band per person?

It should just be one per person, or even just one for the group.

Well, not sure what was going on, but he scanned all 8 of our bands. The issue happened at the first resort (we did online check in and went straight to the room).

Yep, they will work. I had two of every color of the original ones and started declining them. I went into MDE and deactivated the duplicates and threw them away so I now have one of every color of the old ones. I have 3 colors of the new style, one of which I've taken off the band and put into a keeper to clip on my belt. I started with a gray and a purple one of the new ones, took the puck out of the gray one and put it in a purple keeper, put the purple puck in the gray band. I also have a pink band of the new ones. I'm not sure if I'll get any more of them or decline them. All of them work.
