Magic bands and gift cards

Does anyone know if you can get a gift card loaded onto your magic band? we will be staying at the Dolphin and have active magic bands from our last trip with our pap's on them. Just wondered if we could load a gift card on as well seeing as we won't have charging privileges. (Going to miss our usual accommodation at Kidani!)

You cannot do this, at least not yet.

Others were interested, including guests staying at Disney resorts. Many guests buy Disney GC at a discounted price, like at Target (5% off using their red card, for example). Or people who do not use CC.

Perhaps it will be offered in the future, I could see they allowing you to load Disney GC onto Magic bands, thru the My Disney Experience site, for example.
