Magic bands and AP question?

Hope to get some clarification on just how the following works:

We have our magic bands and AP vouchers. When we arrive we will need to activate our AP's. Will they then also become linked to our Magic Bands?

APholders just received an email today about the testing for the new MM+ system.

Depends on when you're going. Are these bands from a prior stay? Do they have tickets on them still? Are they from a room only reservation?

Testing is just starting for AP holders (without a prior on site stay to "activate" their APs) so it'll be hard to answer your question.

These are brand new bands. Also, I have previously linked the AP to our bands but again these are AP vouchers as we will activate next month when we arrive.

You can link these AP vouchers to your MagicBands via your MDE account.
You will then be able to make advance FP+ reservations
60 days (or less, as your trip is next month) before you arrive at WDW.

You will ALSO need to go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations at WDW
and pick up a plastic RFID AP ticket which is still used for
various AP perks (like discounts and parking, etc.)

If the AP voucher number does not immediately work in MDE,
call Disney at one of the numbers I am posting below.
