magic bands and adding resorts to stay

When magic bands first rolled out we stayed one night at POP since we arrived late at night and the rest of our trip at POR. We ordered two sets of magic bands, one for use at each resort. Now that the program has been intact for years will we able to use one set of magic bands for all resorts? Yesterday my husband had me add a night before our trip to ASMo since he thinks we can get there a night early and decided to stay an extra night at the end at CBR pirate room since we couldn't add on to our POR stay(rooms not available). After booking our room yesterday it showed in MDE all our resorts. Our magic bands have already shipped.

You should have the option to "decline" the bands for AS and CBR in MDE under "Magic Bands and Cards". If you don't decline them the the bands will be waiting for you at the resort, however you will be able to use your POR bands for your entire stay at all 3 resorts.

All magic bands linked to your MDE account can be used interchangeably. I have about 7 different bands, and swap daily to color coordinate with my outfit.

Same here. I've collected the full Magic Band "rainbow" over my more recent travels. They are all linked to the account and are interchangeable. I've tested that theory often!

With that, a couple of tips, in case they are relevant.
1. If you have an Annual Pass, you still need to bring that with you to get your discounts, etc.
2. Bands can't be switched once assigned. They can only be deactivated. I know that's common knowledge for a lot of people. But, it comes up when people realize they can use either band to enter the room. But, your park tickets and what not tie only to your individual bands.

and one more note that may or may not matter to you... the on-ride photos/videos will automatically identify you on ride from your MagicBand, and associate it to your MDE account, as long as the battery in the band is still working. Common thought is that the batteries last 2-3 years, I believe. if you have an older band, and this matters to you, you'll want to make sure that it is working ok.

Yes, and it worked like that for many of us in the beginning, too. It was always designed that way. But some people had glitches.
