magic band ?

If I don't order then for my upcoming trip, will my ones from last month still work for room/ tickets? We purchased AP in Feb when we were down there, and I thought that we would just use our MB that we had from that trip, but now it appears we are supposed to order them for our June trip too? Are these just considered "disposable"? TIA!

Yes, they will work. Bands are linked to your account, not any specific ticket or reservation.

You can just decline the magic band for your June trip and use the ones from your earlier trip. The AP also lets you pick a magic band.

Frequent visitors end up with a ton of MBs. I guess WDW figures it's worth offering them every time but I wish they gave you a rebate (like the housekeeping rebate) if you decline them because you still have them from a recent trip. Even $5 per MB would be nice, less waste and a couple bucks saved.

Also, my mom is coming with us and one of my children is staying in a room with her. She NEEDS a MB but it won't let her order hers without ordering one for my DD. Any ideas about this? This whole multiple MB things seems SO wasteful to me! (I guess because I have a pile of them in my closet with my suitcases!)

a little bit off topic, sort of, but I just noticed there are 21 magic bands available right now when I checked. 8 are plain and the rest are premium. I rarely see more than 12, so it totally shocked me.
Back on topic, you can use a magic band for a couple of years, eventually the battery will wear down and it will only work on the touch points, like the door latch, and when you enter the parks and touch with it and your finger. The RF chip will give out and won't link your picture the rides take of you in your MDE photos. At least, thats what I was led to believe how they work so it I am wrong, someone will correct me/
