Magic Band Skin Reaction

I have terrible skin allergies and have had no problems with my MB, though!

Oh that's not good. I wonder if others have had that problem?? I am allergic to latex. I get.....itchy H I V E S! What a miserable way to spend a vacation.

I'm allergic to latex and had no problems with the Magic Bands. I wore mine a little loose so it wouldn't get hot/sweaty, but I had no allergic reaction to it.

DD (then 7) and I both have very sensitive skin and I was worried about rashes from the magic bands. We wore them for 9 days with no issues at all. We did take them off at night and when we showered. We normally hate any kind of wristband, but we loved the magic bands. (Now MDE and FP+ were something else entirely- we hated those).

No one has to *wear* a MB.

My husband has no allergies but years ago decided against wearing anything on his wrists. He thinks "time" is a waste of time so no watch. Never has worn a bracelet and never will.

He will clip his MagicBand on his shorts or daybag. I will wear mine but if I don't like it (no watch for me either), I'll clip to my bag.

You don't have to wear the MagicBand on your wrist!

I know some people who just put it on the loop on the top of the backpack or belt loop without an issue.

I have extremely sentive skin too. For the people who got a rash what are you allergic too? I did not think to worry about this because I am allergic to all metals except gold and plantium (even when it says hypoalagenic metal I am still allergic to it) so I did not think I would have a problem because there is no metal that i know if. But I am allergic to other things like what ever is in detergents., some times I just I just cannot figure out what set off my skin this time. So I may just buy a cover so I do not need to worry though.

I have a problem with a lot metals too.. I'm not sure why nickel would be a problem tho. Even if the microchip had nickel in it, it is encased in the silicon right?. I have a problem (itching) with the nickel content in 14k (and less) gold.. for the most part, I can only wear 18k or platinum (lucky me!) but am not too concerned about hearing of a nickel reaction.. (yet) I'm more concerned about the latex rumor... regardless of the fact that it is made of silicon. I've had reactions to other items that were sworn to not have any latex.. (latex allergy = hives) For all I know, I'm allergic to silicon too... it's not like I've ever walked around town with a kitchen spoon or a baking pan around my neck or in my ears to know I'm allergic to that too... I will probably buy a cover too. I like the Best of Minnie cover band, since I'm getting a red MB.

I am the same way. Can not wear metals other than gold. Haven't tried platinum yet (can't afford it). Even too much 10K gold will cause me to break out. I also have skin allergies to latex, most man-made perfumes and dyes (which are in almost everything) and even high concentrations of aloe. Tea tree oil is another thing that will cause me to break out.
I will also have problems if it causes me to sweat.

I had heard previously that the MB were made of vinyl. Now we find out it's made of thermal plastic polyurethane (whatever that is).

I don't know if I want to completely cover it as I want really personalize it, But wondering if maybe attaching fabric to the back would help.
