Magic Band Question

I've searched and the answers are a little confusing. I have two trips listed in MDE - I'm coming (solo) in September and with 2 kids in January (though they were originally listed on the Sept trip). If I select a MB for myself for the Sept trip, I've read that it'll work fine for Jan '22 - great! But if I have to decline getting theirs now (in order to go ahead and order mine but also because I want to see if other styles come out, or if - as is the case - they change their minds and there's still 6 months before their trip), will I be declining the chance to get them any pre-arrival (and thus discounted) MB?

I’m kind of confused on the question but all magic bands for a stay must be ordered at the same time. I think that might be what you’re asking? You can order now for your solo trip and wait to order with others in Jan. If you order for just you in Jan they won’t have the option to order others later.

I'm a bit confused because it sounds like the reservation (guests who will be visiting) is not reflecting your removal of the kids from Sept. Are the kids still listed as part of the September trip? If so, I would first have Disney adjust the reservation so that it accurately reflects the guests. That way, only you will show up as an MB option for September and then all three of you would show up for the Jan trip. Or are you saying that the message "it's time to pick your Magic Bands" occurred before you decided to move the kids to the Jan trip?

They're not listed as traveling - but still on the profile? Maybe that's the solution (they were still listed as traveling until a week or two ago - I'm renting DVC points and it took a while to get the owner to update). I'll try it now.
