Magic Band Question

Hello everyone, when I booked my trip to WDW (April 2020) I also bought 2 premium Magic Bands.
Since I live in Europe, I should have picked them up at checking. Now, my trip is canceled (Europeans cannot fly to the US) and I was wondering if there's a way to retrieve the Magic Bands since I already paid for them and might be useful for future trips.

Any recommendation about this?

No personal experience with your set of circumstances, but I think I might try the refund route instead of getting the actual bands (which I assume is a low probability, but not sure).

May be worth sending a nice note to Guest Services explaining your situation and seeing what they say.

We had a situation like this back in April when the closure first happened. We'd paid for the premium MBs and said we'd pick them up at check-in. Since we weren't able to go due to the parks being closed and the reservation being cancelled, we just called Guest Services and they gave us a refund for the MBs stating that there was really no way to track them down and ship them to us since things were all closed at the time. I'd guess that they'll easily give you the refund before they ship them, simply because their policies on shipping outside of the continental US are quite strict.

Thank you everyone for guiding me through this: I got in touch with Guest Services via email and they called me back right away. Indeed, there's no way to ship Magic Bands, neither to the EU nor to a US address. For this reason, I will be issued a refund within the next few days.
Guest Services called me back again after a few minutes from the first call, letting me know that generally, a Magic Band refund is automatic, once the resort reservation is removed from the account on My Disney Experience: no further action needed.
