Can you have magic bands personalized with a child's name on it?

If you order MagicBands as part of a Disney resort stay, you input what name you want on the back of the puck for each registered guest.

For other purchased MagicBands, there are D-Tech locations in MK (Space Mountain gift shop) and Disney Springs that allow you to design a band, that can include a name on the outside of the band itself.

How about pre ordered magic bands
if i understand you correctly you have a band already and you can have it personalized at different locations throughout disney
no pre order Disney personalized MB?

Sorry, I don't understand your question.

No, you cannot customize a band that you have already, if that is what you mean.

There are decals you can buy on Etsy or other online sources, if you want.

Do you mean a MagicBand that you would order from ShopDisney before your trip, but NOT associated with a Disney resort stay?

If so, that is correct, there is no way to customize/personalize one of those.

OP if you purchased a magic band from shopdisney it will have a code on the inside of the band to link it.
If you order one as part of a resort reservation you have the option of typing in a name that would show on the inside where the code usually is.

Your name on the outside? No they don’t do that. They can put your name on the the underside if you order pre arrival with your resort reservation. You could just get a colored band and sharpie your name on it to bling it up.Maybe Etsy would have some skins that the seller can personalize

You can do that at D-Tech, in person, at Disney Springs or MK. But not in advance to be shipped to you.

But the decals you can get on Etsy or other sites might be a good option.
