Magic Band Question

So I go to Disney so much I should know this question but I don't lol. My husband and I are going with family and my mother has made a separate resort reservation and got her ticket separately. My brother will be staying in her room but he isn't on the initial reservation (my mom booked a room for 1 even though there's no additional charge for 2 guests- my brother originally thought he would be able to afford his own room). We bought his park ticket but not as part of our package since we bought it after we originally booked.

We want him to get a magic band shipped to us instead of him getting the card ticket or having to use his phone. How would he get one? Are we able to get him one through our reservation or would my mom have to modify her resort reservation? If we went that route would the ticket we got him to connect to the resort reservation my mom made?

If you want him to receive a free band as part of a resort reservation, he needs to be added to someone's reservation. If you add him to yours, and he is a 3rd adult in the room, you'll be charged the extra adult fee. It sounds like you have a package so that won't work anyway without adding him to your package. Is there a reason you don't want to add him to mom's reservation? Does she have a package booked or a room-only? If a package, he will need to be added to her package. To get access to her room he will need to be added to her room. The ticket you bought can be assigned to him even if he is listed through mom's MDE profile as long as you are all link via Friends & Family.

Thank you so much! We don't not want to add him to my mom's reservation- sorry if I worded that weirdly lol. We were just asking if that's what we needed to do. But my mom can totally add him! She didn't do a package. She bought the room first and her ticket after.

So if my moms adds him to her room reservation will his magic band have the tickets we bought him? Also just to double check-we already have him linked since we bought and assigned him the ticket so to link my moms ticket I have to request to add her through that email option in MDE? Trying to figure out fastpass stuff
