Magic Band question-

Hello! We have previous magic bands we want to use next month-we rented points for our stay-we actually are at 3 resorts. I know in my disney experience, they are showing active (our magic bands)-do I have to link those magic bands to our 3 reservations for next month? I couldn't remember what do do! Been going to disney for a few years, and I have brain freeze about this, lol! thank you!

No linking needed. Magic bands stay active (but their battery life does decrease). They essentially work as a key to your account not a specific trip/room etc enjoy!

I meant to ask-is there a place in my disney experience to check off that you do not want magic bands shipped to you? Our bands are from last year-how long do they usually last?

Just make sure your resort reservations are showing up in your MDE. That will ensure your bands work. In your MDE, go to "My Magic Bands and Cards." There you can see your upcoming reservations and order your Magic Bands.

Last I checked they had moved it to the online checkin...it's buried in there.

Since they are a year old, I say let them ship you new ones as a backup. It would be a shame to get there only to find out they battery had died and you had to buy new ones when you could have extras shipped to you for free.

If you have "fancy" ones you want to wear you can tuck a new one in a backpack or purse and then not run the risk of not getting photos on rides that do not have a tap at the end of the ride.
