Magic Band question

was going to buy 4 magic bands for the family as Christmas presents.

what i wanted to know is, can i test them to make sure they are linkable, without linking them? dont want to wait 4 months to discover they don't work.

No way to test them unless you're at WDW.

But, they are guaranteed to work.
In the unlikely event that they don't, WDW will replace them.
