Magic band question

Silly question... Are they still sending the DVC sliders with the magic bands????

Check the portion of the packaging that holds the MagicBands. Sometimes the sliders fall into it. Take that holder out and shake it.

I think I've read you can ask for them at the front desk. Or you can have ours, we don't use them.

We didn't get ours the last two times. When I called I was told I couldn't get them onsite and they didn't offer to send them. I'd like to know if you have any luck getting yours and how you do it!

I feel silly even worrying about it..my kids were upset lol They have friends that are DVC also and they had the sliders, so of course they NEED them lol

Got my MB 2 weeks ago and all MB (6 of them) all had DVC sliders.

Maybe they finally stopped sending, although we did get ours in May & June. We'll be checking in Sunday, it will be interesting to see we get them. This will be the 1st time we're picking them up at check in as opposed to receiving via USPS.

We received our sliders with the generic gray bands when we checked in at the VGF. We were only staying there one night before our cruise, and did not even ask for them.

We got the sliders for our May and June trips as well. One slider was really jammed and pushed way back into that insert box that holds the bands.

We just checked in this afternoon. When the CM brought our gray bands out on the "pillow she opened one end to look inside & then folded it back up. I asked if she was looking for something & she said she was checking for the sliders, which were not inside. She went into the back & returned with the sliders. Sounds kind of hit & miss, at least for the ones being picked up at check in.

I have a MB that is my favorite (it's got Olaf on it!) and I just keep a DVC slider on it that I got a good while back. They can keep the extras for someone else! I found it slightly odd when I got our 10 MB's for our annual GV stay last year that everyone in the party got the sliders. But only I am the member.

I called and they said i could probably get them at check in.. I also sent an email, still waiting for a response. I guess it's just a nice little perk to get something special If it works out then great, if not oh well

I received my 5 MBs todays and they had no sliders. What do the sliders look like? Is there a purpose to them? Its been 3 years since we have been to WDW and MBs were not used yet.

Do a google search for "dvc sliders" and go to images. You'll see them there.

They can help keep the bands from opening up and falling off. And they can help the CMs remind you about the DVC discount that they need to see the DVC card for.

I got our magic bands yesterday for our August trip. No sliders. Opened the box flat as others had said they were in the bottom of the box but still nothing. We'll just ask at the desk when we arrive.

We got our first of two boxes of Magic Bands. No sliders. I took the whole box apart to be sure, none in there. I have one from our last trip, but I can't find the other one since my dh didn't wear his.
