Magic Band Question

Hello all!

Booked a trip for this August to WDW. My family and I went last August and still have our Magic Bands.....do we or could we use them if we wanted to? I saw in MDE that we can order new ones [which I think we'll do to keep as a memento of our trip] but I was just curious. I remember hearing on the podcast show that the life expectancy of the batteries was about two years. Thanks for the help.

You can use both sets interchangeably so pick new colours and have fun.

You can use any magic bands linked within your MDE account.

The battery life of two years is an estimate. And even when the battery goes, the band will still be fine to enter the park and FP's. The long range rfid is what will die, meaning it won't link pictures automatically after rides

That's what my wife told me to do. Now they have the watch that you can add-on which makes it cool...I can just wear the band and no watch. Thanks.
