Magic Band 2.0 and a watch band?

I know Magic Band 2.0 is new, but has anyone thought of or attempted to attach the new "puck" somehow to an existing watch band (regular or Smart Watch?)

Just trying to figure out if I want two things on my wrist or not or if the new detachable puck is easily attached to an existing watch band somehow (obviously with some customization).

There are no "wings" on the unit.
It's just a lump.
I don't know that I'd trust gluing it to a band.

I don't see any way of attaching it to a watch band. I do plan on buying the plain magickeeper when I go in April so I can finally wear my smart watch around the parks and not feel silly. I don't see adding the puck to the side of my Apple watch being very comfortable and it would be difficult to put it on the bottom of my wrist due to latching system of the watch so the magickeepers are the best option for now.

With our "old" (original) style MBs, we do it the other way around...
attach a watch unit to the MB.

HERE is the Minnie Mouse watch that my wife uses.
It has a slot on the back of the watch unit that allows the watch band that comes with it to slip off the watch unit and then that unit just slips over the MB.
Mine is a Mickey Mouse version.

We got LOTS of comments from other guests on these on our last two trips.

I guess someone would have to make some sort of "holder" using some plastic for it that can slip onto any watch band. Probably easy to design, but costly to produce. That would probably be something professionally done, not really a home-grown solution.

I think there would be a demand for that with as many people that probably already wear Fitbits or Smart Watches on their wrists.

It wouldn't be too costly for someone with a 3D printer. Probably pretty simply too once they get their hands on the puck. It would take some mock up and printing out.

For a fitbit it would seem more logical but for a watch it would become bulky. I had the watch Disney sells for the MB and it took some getting use to.

Seeing the MagicKeepers, I think certainly there should be a way to have a MagicKeeper that can slip through a watch band, as I'd enjoy doing with my Apple Watch 2. These designs don't work, but certainly someone could make such a thing:

My problem. A Watch on my left wrist and my Fit Bit on my right wrist. The last few years i just put the MB on my right wrist with the Fit Bit it worked but quite a bit on that wrist!!

Yeah, that doesn't sound fun. Fortunately I got my Apple Watch to be a fitness tracker (oh man is it awesome), but I'm still not sure how having something on each wrist will feel. Maybe you could get a MagicKeeper and put it on a retractable string like people do with work IDs.

I want to suggest the idea to Etsy people. Someone with a 3D printer could totally do this. Frankly, they could take the small MagicKeeper and attach something that would allow you to put a watch band through.

I recently purchased an Apple Watch and will be wearing it to the parks. We received the new magic bands. What I will do is wear the MB on my right wrist or maybe purchase one of the lanyard accessories. I haven't decided yet.

That's why i was asking. Finally got an Apple Watch (because if you have to schedule your day around a time schedule (Fast Passes) .. it is super handy having an actual wrist watch to check the time :))

Any suggestions on apps to put on the watch for Disney?

+1 on the Apple Watch. Would be neat if someone made a MagicKeeper Apple Watch band, since the bands are durable and interchangeable and the Series 2 Apple Watch is water proof.

I haven't used it in person yet, but there's one called Magic Guide WDW that shows the daily times at all the parks and the standby times. It would be great if the official WDW MDE app had an Apple Watch component. What I'm planning is to schedule my fast passes and other activities on my iCloud or Exchange calendar and then be able to see them right from the watch. I don't normally use the Mickey face, but I thought it would be a good idea at WDW. I've attached pics. The face shows the next event on the calendar at the bottom, and I can tap to get detail. It shows weather in the upper right and I can tap to get WeatherBug's detailed hourly forecast, and the top right shows the icon that takes you to the Magic Guide app:

There's one called Mouse Memo that keeps all of your reservations..

I guess I'm just Low-tech on this one. I just write down our FP times / reservations on a post it and keep it in my pocket (one for each day). That way, I'm not draining my battery on my phone constantly checking on an app. I love my technology, but just don't need it for this. JMHO.

We've taken a picture of the day's FP and then saved it as the lock screen.

I hate wearing a watch so never do -- the MB doesn't seem to bug me at all, though. I can't speak personally to somehow wearing both, but my son is wearing his watch and his MB on the same wrist! He just decided to do that on his own, and said it's completely comfortable for him. :confused3
