Hi

We also just returned from the Magic 11/1 cruise.

We were in 2105. I believe we were under the Promanade Louge. In the middle of the night they were rolling something back and forth. It was kinda loud. So beware of this room. We were inside delux stateroom catagory 10 I believe.

This is our third cruise and we had late seating. It was too late for us so we didnt attend dinners. After a couple of days, the head waiter called to see why we didnt come. We explained why and they were nice enough to accomodate us to the early seating. By that time we had dined at Topsiders during dinner and met Sylvanna from Brazil. She was the sweetest thing and we couldnt leave her, so we just stayed with Topsiders for casual dining. It was a nice change to not have your dinners dictated by a certain time.

We didnt venture to far at St. Martin. We just played by the beach when you get off the tender.

St. Thomas was a blast. We had planned to take a taxi on our own to St. John, but by the time we calculated what it really cost we realized we didnt bring enough money. It would cost us 40.00 a person. We figured by the time we got there, there wouldnt be much time to play around so we figure maybe we'll use our DVC points to go to the Westin St. John in the future. We ended up going to Coki beach again. It was fine though because it is just a beautiful place to be.

My kids had a blast at the Oceaneer Lab. This was the first time my oldest was able to check himself in or out. He had a great time and met many new friends that he is emailing now.

We usually go in February and are very spoiled with an empty boat. This time was a little hard for us since the boat was at its capacity. I knew we were in trouble when we got to port and they said "no upgrades". We stayed on deck 4 and sat in the lounge chairs there. It was quiet and peaceful. I was able to read and take a nice nap.

All in all we had a great time. Our fellow cruisers were great and everyone was nice. Oh, by the way. Beware of the laundry facilities. There were a few arguments over the washer and dryers. I am glad DCL has the laundry facilities (I love coming home with clean cloths), but I wish they would have added more washers and dryers so everyone wouldnt have to fight over them :(

Who ever heard of fighting to do laundry? Geez.. if they wanted to do laundry that bad they can come to my house, I have 3 loads and an empty washer and dryer just waiting for someone to use it.. they are more then welcome. I certainly won't fight to do laundry :)

I am glad you had a good time.. how was the quality of the food at the buffet for dinner?

OH my God, I am in the 2105 in February.

Did you have noise every night or it was only once ?

As far as the noise, I think it depends what kind of sleeper you are. I am a very light sleeper, though the first few nights I didnt hear it. Probably catching up on all the missed sleep while we were at WDW. I heard it at 2 - 3:30 in the morning a few nights. If you are a heavy sleeper, you probably wont hear it. My husband never heard it. Probably couldnt hear it over his snoring :)

As far as the food at the buffet it was good. If you're speaking of dinner at Topsiders, it wasnt a buffet. You come in, sit down and they give you a menu. There are salads that are already made if you don't want to wait for the waiter to come and take your order. Then you just order your main course and they bring it to you with a smile :) We found it very refreshing and quick and easy. We got to see some of our favorite shows twice, like Who Wants to be a Mousekteer with the flexible eating time. My kids loved it because they were able to go in and out in an hour and not miss the kids activities at the Club. After the kids left, hubbby and I were able to have a quiet dessert time. You can stay as long as you like or as little as you like. Oh, also they have a display of the meals available as well as dessert so you can see what you would like to order. My kids didnt miss interacting with the waiters or waitresses, because they loved Sylvanna at Topsiders. I don't know if I'd do this everytime, but again it was a refreshing change. There were quite a few people we saw there regularly. Some couples, and some with children.

Hope this helps,

Deb
