"Made with Magic" interactive toys/ gear

I was thinking about purchasing a "Made with Magic" wand for DGS , age 5, who is a little reluctant about some of the elements in the nighttime shows, hoping to encourage him not to miss these shows. Anyone have any experience with these lately? Does one wand work in Fantasmic, Happily Ever After, IllumiNations, and Rivers of Light?
