Has anyone bought the ears or wands that change colors with shows?? Are these worth it? Do they really work?

They work fine.
The biggest negative is that the person who owns and WEARS the ears, can't SEE them while they are being worn.

The "wand" is more fun, if YOU want to SEE the changing colors, yourself.

Honestly... we were there a week and only wore the ears one day. The day we meant to wear them we left them in the car not wanting them to get stolen out of the stroller. They are very heavy to wear and they were for my five-year-old who couldn’t deal with wearing them all day. So we didn’t get to see them work at Fantasmic as planned since we didn’t return to our car as we thought we would. I wore them for her in Epcot but didn’t even think to look to see if they really change color in the countries because we had to hurry between fast passes. I will say the app did not work for us because she was excited to be able to turn one ear one color and one another- and this feature never worked.

I almost forgot. She did wear them to dinner with her best friend who also had a pair and they lit up when they were watching the water pageant at the grand Floridian. They were excited to see them sync up. That was the extent of our use of them.

I bought the wand at AK with the animals on it. It was too cute I couldn't resist. It was cool during rivers of light but I never used it again and it was pricey. I was going to buy the ears once but tried them on and thought they were too heavy (and I'm an adult with a big head).

We bought the ears when they first came out. Used them a couple times on that trip, but that was it. They're pretty bulky and not real comfortable to wear (at least they were, not sure if they've changed), so not something you could wear all day like a headband or normal ears. It was cool to see everyone's ears "glowing with the show", but that was back when they were new so everyone had them! I don't even remember seeing any or noticing them on my trip in April.

I probably wouldn't buy the ears again. The wand? I might consider for my niece on our trip in a couple of weeks, but definitely not the ears.
