Made using Sure Cuts Alot

How do you go about organizing your fonts? One reason I resisted getting SCAL for a while (and any of the machines that cut TFF) is I have a hard enough time trying to decide which font to use from the 10 or so font carts I have. Now I have hundreds of computer fonts I need to decide front? So, I'd love any suggestions how on to organize & figure out which fonts to use quickly!

I've done 2 test cuts so far with SCAL, and I love it. Can't wait to actually use something I cut in a LO :)

Do you have a font manager on your computer? I use "The Font Thing" which you can download for free here: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~scef/tft.html. (BTW it is an old program and the site says it is only good for the older Windows OS but I have XP and it still works.) I'm sure there are other newer (and maybe better) ones out there if you search. The manager will let you create collections of fonts. Then its just a matter of sitting down and sorting the fonts into categories that work for you.

I asked DH to get this for me for mother's day. Can't wait! Now I just need to get a laptop so it is more convenient to use. (When is that extra rebate coming???)
