Made the switch

After deliberating and getting frustrated with lack of promos for fall I called Universal and got an excellent package and rate.

The gentleman I spoke to was awesome and applied the UNISAVE code to my package as well as gave me ideas for our upcoming trip.

I never stayed on Universal property so I am very excited about that as well.

The price I am paying is about $300 cheaper than the Disney quote. I got the dining plan at Universal as well as Blue Man Group tickets!

Being it is our 30th anniversary does anyone know if Universal does anything special if we mention it on our reservation? Any ideas for a great Anniversary dinner?

It never hurts to mention a special occasion.
Don't know what kind of food you like but for a special dinner we love Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Resort.

OMG, my favorite place. Definitely eating there this trip. Haven't been since 2009!

Totally agree. One trip we went twice! Emerils at city walk is quite good too. Or for an anniversary Mama Della's would be nice, with the strolling musicians.

The City Walk Emeril's is good too. And if you want to try it, I recommend going during lunch just because it's slightly cheaper. Tchoup Chop's menu looks better for dinner, though I may have to end up going for lunch this year.

If you are on the Universal dining plan, BE AWARE that it does NOT include dining at the resorts.Only the parks and a few places on Citywalk

I have to agree with everyone. Two of our favorite restaurants are Tchop Chop and Emerils Citywalk. They are both great!!!!
