Made specific room request...online check-in or no?

We arrive at BWV on July 23rd. Last time we were there (July 2010), I requested a specific location for the room, and I had read here that if I do the online check-in, it is less likely to get the location requested. So we checked in at the front desk when we arrived and I didn't bother with online check-in. Is it still the same? Am I less likely to get the location I requested if I do online check-in? It's not a big deal, we enjoy the check-in at the desk anyway...just wanted to see what would be easier.

I honestly do not think it matters. Sometimes you get your requests and sometimes you do not.

In my experience, the BWV tends to pre-assign rooms. So I think there is less chance you can change things at check in at the BWV than there is at some of the other resorts,like SSR.
