Made my Reservations at POFQ!!

I just made my reservations!!!! I am so excited, after all this time of planning, I decided to just do it. We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. I just called CRO to get my AAA discount (which I was very impressed with, by the way). I've been "lurking" here for awhile, and posted once for suggestions on which resort. But I learned a lot by reading posts about getting the best deals, so thank you!!!!

BTW, is the AAA discount 15% off rack rate? just curious! Trying to decide if I should take the plunge and go with AAA or wait till Florida Resident code come out!!

If my figures are right, it is more like 20%. I didn't ask what the starting rate was, she just told me what AAA rate was. Hope this helps!! Thanks for being excited for me!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! I am doing the same thing........lurking. I just can't make up my mind on where to stay. I was debating on CSR or POR, but leaning towards CSR. Then.......since my DH is military, I checked into Shades of Green. Now I am REALLY confused. Of course, I like the price of Shades of Green, but I want to have all the amenities that CSR and POR have. : (

We're going on the 7 night DCL Western cruise Nov 5-12 and I decided to surprise our family and booked 2 nights at the POFQ through AAA with 1 day tickets and the dining pkg. It came out to be $48 cheaper than booking through CRO. And the DCL bus will pick us up at the resort and take us to the cruise terminal. My family thinks we're going to Cocoa Beach for 2 nights. Boy will they be surprised when Magical Express whisks them off to WDW!
