I have given myself milestones with my weight loss, stepping stones if you will. My first was to get to 208. No matter how much I tired, I always got to 209 and plateaued. Then got frustrated, quit and regained. The second was to weigh less than my husband. I have always had him by 10 lbs or so and it was just embarrassing. He tends to weigh between 202 and 204 depending on the day. Third milestone was removing that dreaded "2" before my weight. One-derland is where I belong! Sooooo this morning I hit all three! I weighted in at 198.4. I am so excited! :yay:
Oh, and the next milestone is wearing the size 10 jeans I last wore in 2002 during my illness. I can get them on and zipped, but I wouldn't exactly call them comfy! That means though that that milestone is not far away! :dance3:

After that, I am going to have to come up with a new milestone since those were the only 4 I had! I do have a size 8 skirt in my closet. I never actually wore it, since I went into remission and started gaining weight at a rapid rate shortly after I bought it. Maybe that will be a milestone, but I suspect that is over 20 lbs away and that is far for a stepping stone. Hmmm, I will think on that one.

Yay you! Way to go! I'll bet it feels great! I would definitely make a short-term goal (maybe a certain amount off before Christmas). And then hit it hard after the New Year! That skirt will fit in no time!

I missed my mini-goal I had set for T.giving by 4 lbs, but at least I had a new number in the tens column. And I have sort of floundered since T.giving weekend, but hopefully this week things will fall into place. I set myself a NEW Christmas goal to hit my original T.giving goal number by December 24th. That would put me within 10 pounds of my final goal weight (unless I decide to change it down another 5 lbs).

THis time of year is so hard on the healthy-eating lifestyle, so you should be extra proud of yourself! Keep going.. it is SO worth it. YOu are giving yourself (and the ones who love you) the best holiday gift ever... a healthier you! (Sorry if that is corny, but it is TRUE!).....................P

Congrats on your accomplishments! I am currently reworking my on my stepping stones. I have realized that some of them were not realistic and they need to be. You are an inspiration!

that is fabulous! especially this time of the year with alllllll the extra sweets and treats around! you'll be sportin' that skirt this spring -- rock on!

WAY TO GO!!!! That is awesome you worked so hard to push past the roadblocks, now you have hit some of your goals and you are on your way of achieving even more of your dreams. Congrats!:goodvibes

Way to go!! That's awesome!!! I learned just recently how important those short term goals can be, I JUST made one for myself, My hubby is out to sea, he comes home on my birthday, so I want to be in a size 10 and weigh 160 before he gets home. This past monday, I was at 168!! :cool1: So 36 more days, and 8 lbs to go. Shorter term goals seem alot more attainable then the final goal, with that, I still have at least 30 more lbs to go! But, stay with it, you can do it! And we'll all be in those smaller sizes if we just stick with it!! I know the sweets are hard to stay off of, I work at a bank and this time of year is VERY hard with the customers bringing in chocolate and cookies...:sad2: I have stayed away, so far!! Not sure how much longer that will power will last, sweets are my weakness!!! Good luck for the future, and congrats, you can do it!! I will be in MK on jan 16th in my size 10's!!! Looking FAB for my dh's return!

Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations!
