I have given myself milestones with my weight loss, stepping stones if you will. My first was to get to 208. No matter how much I tired, I always got to 209 and plateaued. Then got frustrated, quit and regained. The second was to weigh less than my husband. I have always had him by 10 lbs or so and it was just embarrassing. He tends to weigh between 202 and 204 depending on the day. Third milestone was removing that dreaded "2" before my weight. One-derland is where I belong! Sooooo this morning I hit all three! I weighted in at 198.4. I am so excited!
Oh, and the next milestone is wearing the size 10 jeans I last wore in 2002 during my illness. I can get them on and zipped, but I wouldn't exactly call them comfy! That means though that that milestone is not far away!
After that, I am going to have to come up with a new milestone since those were the only 4 I had! I do have a size 8 skirt in my closet. I never actually wore it, since I went into remission and started gaining weight at a rapid rate shortly after I bought it. Maybe that will be a milestone, but I suspect that is over 20 lbs away and that is far for a stepping stone. Hmmm, I will think on that one.
