We were notified we made it through ROFR a week ago. We got an email stating we would get our documents within the next few days. It has been a week and we still haven't gotten anything.

Is this normal? When should I expect to get the email with them? We are anxious to get this taken care of and sent back. It a very rare day indeed when I want to part with thousands of dollars LOL

I would call your broker. You should have received the closing documents by now.

Also, once you do get them, don't waste your money overnighting them back. The seller won't, and the agency has to have everything back from both parties to close the sale. Just send your packet first class (regular) mail- insured if you are sending a cashiers check rather than using a wire transfer for the payment.

Thanks we are going to call and find out what is going on

Hi Jen,

Who did you purchase from? We used the timeshare store and Timeshare Title & More. It took up 13 days to receive our closing documents. I actually emailed the title company myself and asked where my closing docs were and was told they were working on them all weekend, yeah right. Anyway, I stayed on top of them. I contacted them that Monday and was promised I'd get them that afternoon, but never received them until late the next afternoon after I contacted them back. I was told it was Disney's fault, that Disney delays sending the Estoppel to them. True or not, I don't know, but I sent them an email every other day to see how things were going. Needless to say, I'm sure they were happy when I closed last Friday. :rotfl:

They did send my deed over electronically today and its already showing on the comptroller website in our names and I called DVC and they told me they had all our paperwork sent to them this morning and would have my acct loaded no later than Friday and to call them back by Friday for the info.

I don't know if that's the norm, but I think she was just sick of me and put it through as fast as she could lol

Good luck !! I hope it goes fast for you. You'd think ROFR would be the hardest, longest. Never thinking after is just as bad.

Timeshare store. :) Thanks for the information

my email from TS store said 12 days for docs...pretty sure. go read your email again. I am pretty sure 2 weeks is the norm from what I am reading here.

we passed last week too. but our sellers have a 9/1 close date...so we have a little more to wait :rolleyes1

We used The Timeshare Store too. Passed ROFR on 7/15 and didn't get closing docs until 8/1. We were supposed to close today (or earlier) and still no word. I'm getting impatient!

We found out on 7/25 we passed ROFR and we still haven't received our closing documents. I did email them today and the title company said I should have them in the next day or so. So it has been a little over 2 weeks.

Hopefully the sellers don't screw anything up. I received my docs 5/19 sent them back priority mail the same day and didn't close till 6/10.

I agree. Found out from the title company today that the sellers still have not returned their documents. According to our contract they need to do so by 8/28. But, I really don't want to wait that long, and if they miss that deadline, who knows?

We passed ROFR on 8/7 and we're told this:

At this point in time, we are waiting to receive the Estoppels from Disney, which take about 1-2 weeks to arrive. Once the Estoppels is received, the title company will send out the closing documents.

Is the Estoppel normal or is that is what is adding more time for everyone?

We passed ROFR 7/8 and didn't get the documents until 7/29. We closed on 8/5 but the OCC website doesn't show the our deed yet. We used The Timeshare Store and Magic Vacation Title.

I'm going to call Member Accounting on Friday to see if they have my member # yet.

Good Luck.

The estoppel is normal. It took 17 days for the title company to get it for my closing but I think at that point Disney was behind. They seem to have caught up...reading recent timelines.

We received word that we passed rofr on aug 1 and my agent said it would take 3 weeks for closing docs....well we actually got them on aug 6th...just 3 business days later! So now I am confused. I sent the signed docs back with my cashier check, does that mean once the sellers sends theirs we are officially closed? What is an estoppel or what did it look like? Was it the Disney sheet we signed on the bottom that listed the mf amounts?

You wouldn't get your closing docs unless the title company had the estopple. So that was fast. Yes when the sellers send in their stuff you'll be notified when you officially close. Then watch for it on the OCC site.

I saw this post and became very optimistic. Mine passed ROFR on 8/14 so I was expecting just a couple days but still no word yet :( The broker said it is being delayed but doesn't know why.

We went thru fidelity and they used first American title co., not sure if that helps or makes any difference. Our deed was recorded on 8/15. Overall, I thought it went super fast compared with what I was expecting. Now I am just waiting on Disney for our member info. No rush though..we aren't planning to book until November.
