Well we made it down to WH and are doing anything but vacationing, but still loving it. :goodvibes

We came down to get our TH in order/refurbed and wound up having our 15.5 hour drive become a 21 hour drive:drive: I never thought that driving a Uhaul at 60MPH would be sooooo painful, but its done, we're here, and all is moving along well. The TH is great, the kids are loving the pool (that has been a life-saver :thumbsup2 ) and they are even pitching in by moving everything around on me as I am trying to install it. Its the thought that counts.

At least the cable man came and I can get my slice of heaven on the 50" plasma...its like therapy  .

If anyone is down maybe we'll see you around the pool once I can get enough boxes unpacked to get out the door :rotfl: .

Take care,

Steve

Glad you made it. Hope you have fun redecorating. Do it up nicely for some of us who want to rent it in the future. :thumbsup2

Glad you had a safe trip. Even though it is a lot of work, I'll bet it is so exciting too!

Being a home owner is a labor of love. Its like your third child for me our forth.

The memories are priceless. Good luck, break a leg, congrats to you and yours.

Oh sounds wonderful! Not the work but being down there and having a place. I am from fla but have been gone 7 years now. We are planning our first trip to wh this september. I am interested in possibly buying as well but I am not sure how everything works. Is there any sites that offer information? The main site didnt have much. I know its not like a regular town house and such as there are certain regulations and such. Is there a limit on lenth of stay for the owner and time and or lenth of rentals? That probaly didnt make sense . lol But I know its different than a regular house. I am sure I will love it. Enjoy your new townhome. I bet the kids love the playground! Mine cant wait to get there!

As an owner it's your home...you can use it any way you like, it's not like a timeshare or something, it's your own private home to do with as you see fit. You can live in it 100% of the time if you choose...rent it 100% of the time, or some mix thereof. There are a very few people who actually live in Windsor Hills full time, although the resort is mostly short term rentals of families going to Disney! This is one of the reasons we bought there...we can do things on our own terms, no one dictates to us when or how often we can use our home, that sort of thing...it's just like any other home you own straight out.

Thats great. Exactly what I wanted to hear. I like knowing I can come and go and not have to tailor my time or schedule to somones elses rules and regulations especially if I own it. It enables the owners to be able to keep up on their properties better as well I am sure. I cant wait to check it out. I did look into the management fees and so on. Didnt seem to unreasonable to me. Not that I have compared it to anything yet. But all in all it sounds great.

It is very much like any townhome that I have come in contact with as far as "regulations," but there is no limit to length of stay or how you would like to personalize the interior or pool area. As far as management companies go, there are literally hundreds of them to choose from, we feel we really lucked out with ours, mainly thanks to the info from this board and its members, and are quite happy with them.

Our time is slowly winding down here, but it will be nice to go home, back to work and relax  . We will have to leave the vactioning for our next trip in November, but it has been a labor of love. The transformation is amazing, but ALOT of work. I would happily do it all over again though :thumbsup2 .

What made you decide to buy? Do you have rentals properties anywhere else? Did you just see the house available for sale, or did you have a realtor looking for properties for you?

I am anxious to see what your experience is with renting your condo. I would love to own one!

What are you going to call your condo? We are looking to rent one for our next WDW trip.

Thank you,
Rae

Glad everything is going well - you must be almost up and running for rentors now :goodvibes

Raestr, sent you a PM, hope the info helps.

Maria, we are from Hunterdon county, but I have been through Deptford a number of times.

Take care,

The "Enchanted" looks fabulous! I just LOVE the Nemo bathroom...how cute! Nice job on everything! :thumbsup2

Michelle (the DisneyMomof4)

Thanks Michelle, a lot of it took on a "life" of its own, glad you like it. We really wanted something different and did not want to "copy" other things so we were very happy with the finished product as well. Hopefully others will be too. :thumbsup2

Thanks again,

Steve
