made FP for April, want Soarin & Test Track, won't let me

Seriously? With all the noise and chatter over the past 14 months, you never saw anyone post here that "FP+ is great because we can sleep in and don't have to make Rope Drop"? As for it being true under FP-, I could arrive at Epcot at 10:30 in the morning and get FPs for both Test Track and Soarin' in the same day. Easy. First FP pulled at 10:40. Second FP pulled when the next window opened (usually 2 hours later). It really wasn't hard at all. Two headliners. No waiting. Now if I want those same two headliners with no waiting, I have to make use of RD. I'll admit that we never strolled in at noon.

Not for Epcot- never read any posts saying that was possible in Epcot. And while those that don't like fp+ like to say that people who like it do so because they can sleep in, I find that not be to all that common a reason. It is possible however to use park hopping as the way to get both rides in at Epcot and still be able to stroll in at noon. It's how we do it, and no, we don't sleep in....ever.

10:30 am is not noon.

Okay, so here is your 1st:) We really like FP+ and for that exact reason:) Our family likes the parks better at night and we will only do RD maybe once during our trip, but normally arrive between 11-12. I can tell you that our experiences with the (old) FP in the past sure was different from yours. The first thing I would always do when we first arrived at any of the parks was to grab all our tickets and start trotting to the FP kiosks for the "BIG" rides we wanted. Well I would consider myself lucky to even get a FP and when we did it was not til in the evening. So instead of spreading those rides out throughout the day, we (if got a FP) would have them all crammed together:( Now, on our next trip in March I have 3 FP's i.e. at MK we have TMRR, SDMR and SM and I can have them all done before 4PM and have the option to get another FP for something else after that.

While we don't ever sleep in, we had the same exact issue as you because we park hop. We'd go to a morning park and by the time we'd get to the afternoon park, fp's for the popular rides were gone. Those who like to arrive at a park later, for whatever reason did not fare well under the old system. They do with fp+.

OK. Now you've lost me. If I am following, you have never read any posts saying that it was possible at Epcot to use FP+ to ride both TT and Soarin' with minimal waits, but that it is possible to park hop into Epcot and ride both rides with minimal waits. I must be missing something.

I hated criss crossing the part if you didn't plan your FP exactly correctly - or if the times didn't work when you get there. It was far from relaxing.

I have this same issue - I could have written exactly what you wrote, except related to FP+, not legacy. We didn't "plan" our legacy FP - we picked them up as we went and stayed in the vicinity til it opened. We rarely had FPs 2+ hrs away from the current time.

FP+, though, I didn't plan exactly correctly, and I couldn't reschedule them in the park (tried to, couldn't). So we criss crossed far more on this last trip than we ever did under legacy.

Just an interesting demonstration of how different people can have similar problems under each system.

Not sure I see where the problem was.
First; if they are all at night then we miss parades or wishes... Second; you should have also bolded "if we were even lucky to get a FP" because this is my main point. You keep making it sound like that FPs were always available and I can tell you during crowd levels 7 and up, when we arrived around noon that we found some of the main ride kiosks closed already. Heck I can tell you that if you did not get to HS before 10, you had no chance of getting a Toy Story Mania FP. Guess what? I already have a FP for our trip in March and I do not have to get up early and run through the park to get it:) The parks are now a lot more crowded then a few years ago and the chances of getting the legacy FPs nowadays would be slim to none if you arrived later.

But you were at Epcot. You weren't going to see parades or Wishes in any event.

TSMM was the only ride that ever ran out of FPs that early. One can't then roll that experience over and claim that the same phenomenon happened at Epcot. And even TSMM did not run dry by 10:00 on days when the park opened at 9:00.

Cannot discuss with a wall. Yes Soarin has ran out by noon before, but what would I know when we are the ones arriving later and you have even said that you have never arrived around noon. So I will give in to your knowledge on this subject:)

is this normal?? I cannot choose Test Track and Soarin in the same day for FP…

Can you get one for Soarin and Single Rider for Test Track? If everyone in your party is old enough I would think that would be the best way to save time since both are tier one attractions.
