We check in to VWL 7/6. We got California Grill for 8 pm (fireworks - yay!!) on check-in day, Citricos the next night, Boma for breakfast the next day and Cirque du Soleil that night. We got everything we wanted.

Is Cirque worth it? 72 bucks a throw for 90 min. of entertainment, compared to a whole day at a park for 52 bucks. I'm having a hard time seeing the value.

We would love to hear of anyone's experiences at these restaurants and good dishes to try. DW and I are big time foodies, and this is our first time at either CG or Citricos.

Finally, which in your opinion is better, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

You'll be checking in the day after we check out. It's getting close, now!

We love CG and have gone back every visit since 12/01, so that's 4 times, now. DH always gets the beef - Filet, I think? I always get some kind of fish - last time it was grilled sturgeon with rock shrimp in blood orange reduction - to die for! My mouth waters as I write this!

Also, we order a shrimp tempura sushi that is not on the menu, but our server suggested it last June, and we have ordered it every time since. It is like a california roll style sushi, but with tempura-fried shrimp - awesome for someone who likes a California roll but shies away from "raw fish".

Timing it for the fireworks is great - if they are crowded and you don't want to wait forever for a window table, you can always step out to the observation deck for the FITS - they are very good about timing your meal at that time so you don't have a $30 entree getting cold on your table.

Regarding Cirque - yes, yes, yes, IMHO it is worth every penny. The show is incredible and we've gone twice now, and I plan to go again next time I travel with friends who havent seen it.

Haven't been to Citricos, and I prefer TL over BB (being from NH, the snow motif does nothing for me, especially after this winter!).

No doubt you'll get zillions of other opinions. Have a great time!

Well done on getting all the ps you wanted.

Cirque Du Solei is certainly worth every $ and more, it is a wonderful show.

I prefer BB to TL.

mickeys#1fan,
Hate to burst your bubble.....but according to the park hours and special events calendar on the Disney website, there won't be any fireworks on 7/6. That's the day we were planning on being in the MK and that's I remembered it. I just went back and checked the calendar again and it still says the only thing special schedule for that day is Dream Come True Parade at 3:00 pm. Let's hope they add some days for fireworks!!:(

Cirque du Soleil is worth every penny. It is a great show. We went last year for the first time and we will be going back again this year when we are at VWL in Dec.

We have not eaten at Citricos, but we have been to Narcoossee's. They have excellent food. Have a wonderful trip.

Hello #1Fan -

We just got back from the Kingdom and took in the Cirque Du Soliel for the first time this trip. We too thought the price was a bit steep, but the show was fantastic and well worth the price. We actually purchased tickets a while before we were going so we had fifth row center seats, which were great, but it looked like most of the seats would be great. The "tent" is not huge so you should be able to get a good view of the action no matter where you are.

We are definitely going to see the show again - there was so much to see I know I missed a lot.

Hope you have a great trip, and highly recommend the show. You won't regret it!!

:smooth:
