Madame Alexander Dolls

This is my first time posting on this forum, so I am not sure of the rules - if it is just for pins or not, but here is my question. I am thinking about starting a collection of Madame Alexander Dolls. I have loved looking at them for year, but have never bought one. I especially love the Disney Princesses ones! Does anyone else out there collect them? Where do you buy yours and what ones are your favorites? Any tips for someone starting to collect?

good luck on your newest collection!! I have a new baby girl who will be celebrating her first Christmas this year. I was trying to come up with a good "collectible" for Santa to bring her every year and just this weekend decided on Madame Alexander Disney themed dolls!! I bought her Snow White at the FAO Schwartz in Tysons Corner VA (I was in the area on business)--I know I probably paid about $5-10 more there given the location but it wasnt that expensive and REALLY cute. I know a department store near me also carrys them but I havent been paying much attention before--now I will be scoping them out everywhere!!! have fun!!!

I haven't taken the plunge into dolls (yet), but Hallmark has some great Madame Alexander ornaments. Over the years I've gotten Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts, Cinderella. Non-Disney I have Raggedy Ann & Andy look-a-likes, and Red Riding Hood. They're very cute.
And don't forget about the McDonald's dolls. This was the second time they offered them, and they are just too cute. These are great for a little one to play with.

We purchased MA dolls for our twin DD's who are now 20. They have moved away but the dolls are still here. We had fun getting the dolls for the girls, but I doubt their value has appreciated much. I hope one day DD's will want them for their own homes
