Madagascar Question...

Sound of Music is also released today with 6 hours of unseen footage. I have always loved that movie.

6 additional hours!!! That would take an entire day off for me to watch ;)
from begining to end! I love it!

*runs off singing* "The hills are alive...with the sound of music..."

Target has it for $14.99 and it comes with rubber bracelets with the charactors on them. It was really funny, we loved it and I am very picky about what movies DD sees. The penquins even have their own Christmas movie clips out with some movies.

Thank you for that info! I guess that I will be buying it instead of renting it for DS's party this weekend at that price. We didn't see it in the theater so that is less than it would have cost us for just tickets!

Plus, wasn't there a scene where he's putting up the Help sign on the island and a few letters get knocked over? We saw it the first weekend it was released at the theater so it's been a while, but seems like I remember that from this movie.

It's always funny to hear other people say what they want to buy and what wasn't worth it. To us Madagascar was HILARIOUS. Gotta love the penguins! But Polar Express was just scarey to me and my 10 and 11 year old children. Freakish animation to say the least for us :)

And we absolutely loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factories main characters, including the less than normal Johnny Depp but those darn Ooompa Loompa's ruined the movie for us and I doubt we'll be purchasing the DVD for that reason. Can't wait till Friday though, we'll be seeing the new Harry Potter!!!! YAY!

I just called Walmart since they are closer than Target for me. They have it for $14.96. Guess I'll be going out tomorrow while DD is in school to get it.

I got it at Wal-Mart and it had a bonus DVD of the Penguins Christmas Caper (or something like that) for $14.96.

We loved Madagascar saw it twice. Once at a birthday party and once again to bring rest of family. But I really felted uncomfortable or winced at the point when the penguins said "This sucks..." my kids are 5 and 7, it's not a word they heard before. Surprisingly they didn't even ask about it.

Love the Move it move it. The party favor was the CD from the movie for every kids. We really enjoy it.

The cheapest I know of is 19.99. I heard that Best Buy will have them for 14.99 but I don't have any near me.

If you know of anywhere cheaper than 19.99, please let me know... I'd greatly appreciate it!

Walmart has it for 14.99 :cool1:

I LOVE LOVE LOVED this movie and so do my kids. It's the first movie my then 2 year old sat through and never moved in her seat! I have to say it's one of my new favorites, and I just watched Chicken Little and wasn't too impressed (although it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be because my expectations were pretty low).

I will NOT be getting Robots because I thought that was a terrible movie, but will be getting Polar Express and will sob all the way through just like I did in the theatre and when we read it! I'm sappy - sorry.

I liked Madagascar! So did my kids DD 8 and DS 5. I can't wait for Polar Express next week. Call me a sucker but I love watching these movies this time of year. I got my daughter the Disney Princess Christmas of Enchantment. She liked it as well. TTFN Kat :flower:

You know, I was planning on buying Madagascar.....and then we went on the Disney Cruise. And it was on alllllllllllllllllll the time. Everytime we were in the room, the girls were watching it. Even my 1 y/o would ask for it to be turned on(she loves the Move it song too, but sings I like to Moon it instead LOL). We saw Chicken Little and Loved that too, will def. buy it when it comes out. Charlie & Polar Express we saw in IMAX and I was worried that watching Charlie on dvd now we not be as good, but it was so I guess I'll buy Polar Express too. I love the "Hot Chocolate" song in that movie. The Rockettes danced to that at last years Macy's Thanksgiving parade and one of them taught it to my DD9 in a worshop and she still does it.

I found a great deal today...

I went to Walmart to take a return so I checked out the DVD prices. They had both Madagascar and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on sale for $13.99 each. The white sign stated they were on sale until 11/22. For that price, I just had to get them both.

I've never seen either of them so I can't wait to give them to DD and watch them together!!!
