Mad - or just plain barking???

I would visit the friend but wouldn't fancy the cinema as I would prefer to talk to my friend instead, so would probably opt for a shop/restaurant type of a day.

Thanks for all your replies - nice to know we're not completely mad. We are off to the cinema and then will have a nice lunch and a good ole natter afterwards. Looking forward to it :)

I don't think that's strange at all - but i'm from Alberta so 75 miles for me isn't a huge deal, we used to drive from Edmonton to Calgary for coffee/breakfast sometimes and that's 3 hours each way!

I love to drive and after the day i'm having i'd gladly drive you to Nat's if only to get some time away from adorable blessed whinging toddler :lmao:

we have to drive 35 miles to our nearest cinema

We are back :thumbsup2 We had a fab time....the film was good considering we are fans of the book we both expected to be critical but on the whole we enjoyed it.

We finished off the day with a meal in frankie's and Benny's !

75 miles is Nowt.:goodvibes
My Brother drove up from Wiltshire to Sheffield to see Kaiser chiefs with me on 23rd Feb, about 400 mile round trip for about 80 mins on stage.
Couple of years ago my Brother was in Amsterdam for weekend on Business, we flew over to have a drink with him, only there a few hours:rotfl:
Last August we drove up from Florida to georgia (about 5 hours drive each way)to meet up with friends for a few hours.
We must be totally barking mad.
