Would you drive 75 miles just to go to the cinema with a mate?

Not regularly but every now and then, sure why not. :confused3

Only if they were paying. :)
having said that I've been know to do it for a bacon sandwich. ;)

I would but we live in the middle of nowhere and are used to long drives to get anywhere

I did it once but only cause the cinema near her wasn't showing the film. I drove 45 miles to my friend's flat, she followed me back in her car. We ended up going to a cinema that my 6 miles away. I did a 102 mile journey to go 12 miles:rotfl:

If it was to see a film then maybe do shopping after yes,but otherwise no.

If you don't see them very often then yes...but I would go for a meal or drink too. :thumbsup2

If it was with a meal/some shopping too, then absolutely! But since going to the cinema by itself isn't particularly social or a chance to have a chat and catch up, probably not.....

It would have to be more then just the cinema for me.

Yeah why not. As a Mother of two young children who I love dearly but rarely get time away from, I'd see 75 miles alone in a car with all my CD's as heaven. Put my Alan Bennett Talking Heads CD on and the time would fly:)
Is that one way, or the round trip?

Good point Joanne - I love driving, especially when it's just me and I can turn the music up LOUD!

It is 75 miles each way - but I reckon it's worth it ;)

I would!! I haven't been to the cinema since my kids were born and my oldest was 3 in Dec!!! lol

I would say it depends on the friend.

I have 2 best friends who I would definitely do the trip for as I know they would do it for me. I'm out with them on Friday and each of us will do a 45 miles round trip.

As for the other friends I have to be honest and say no.

My DH best friend is "dropping" our anniversary card off this weekend and that's a 4 hours drive each way. :scared1: Now that's friendship! :grouphug:

Wow!

I wouldn't do it on a regular basis but I could see myself doing it, if I could drive that is!

yes i would do it for certain friends .
