Well I had a stroller that I bought a little over 2 years ago especially for our WDW trip my dd was 8mo at the time we wanted something lightweight, reclined, bright colored(easy to spot) and with a basket! Found it and have loved it! Never used my bulky stroler ever again even at home! Well it has been on 3 disney trips and numerous other outings and is now DEAD! I thought we would be able to take it with us on our trip in April because it is still in clean, good shape nothing is torn, BUT it doesnt push all that great anymore! It would be fine around the mall but my DH said it would drive him crazy for a week in WDW. So I have spent a week online looking at reviews etc. went to stores and tried some out and read posts on here. I didn't want to spend alot of $ really just wanted to spend $40-$80, but my musts were: some type of recline (my dd3 will take naps) basket underneath(to hold extra stuff) and lightweight ( we ride WDW buses) So I have broke down and found a Maclaren Triumph, has all of my musts plus will hold up to 55lbs even though my dd2 is only 24lbs I was thinking about future trips. I didn't want to spend over $100, but evertime I found a stroller in the lower price range there wouldn't be great reviews. So I bought the Mac this morning online! Does anyone have this one? Did I make a good choice?

We have a Triumph and it is a good stroller, light-weight so it should be easy to get on/off buses. However, it does not recline that much at all. Did you have the chance to play around with it before you ordered it? It may not recline enough for your DD to nap.

DS is only 8 months and doesn't nap in it. I just bought a BJ City Mini since it reclines much more than the Triumph. But, of course, he doesn't seem to want to nap in that either. :rotfl:

I looked at it in the store briefly because I was looking at the VOLO because it was cheaper but didnt get it because of the no recline...When I looked at the the video reviews of the triumph they showed it reclining some I just need to recline a little so her head won't flop! Should it still work?

I have a Quest and a Volo, I have a Triumph, but I haven't taken it out of the box yet... (I'm a sucker for sales)

I'd spend the few extra bucks and get the Quest. It's got a nice recline, and a leg rest. The leg rest is nice because it keeps DD from being pesky and stopping the stroller with her feet like she does in the Volo or when the leg rest isn't extended.

Have you checked ebay? The seller is babyproductstore. I think it's Maclaren's "outlet".

We love our Mac Triumph. We've used it with DS as our exclusive stroller since he was about 7 months old - he's now almost 3 and it's great. We just bought a Twim Triumph as we're expecting a 2nd, and also bought a single Quest (so at times we want separate strollers, we'll have a Triumph and a Quest). We got the Quest over the Triumph as our second single so that it can be used from time new baby is 3 months + (plus we found a great deal on it).

BTW - From what I've seen, the Volo does not recline at all. I would look at a Triumph for some recline.

Yes, that is why I didn't buy the volo and bought the triumph. I paid $120 and free shipping, which I think is pretty good price.

My DS is 6 now, but we got the Triumph when he was about 3 and really liked it. I have to agree that it doesn't recline much, but it is lightweight and easy to use.

We have the double triumph and single volo and LOVE them. They've been to WDW and VA/Busch Gardens. LOVE, LOVE:lovestruc

If you live near a babies r us, try it out. A big difference is the triumph's seat is shallow (child doesn't sit as deep), could be an issue if the child has very long legs. Babyproducts on eBay is Maclaren's online outlet store. The volo is very deep, kids tend to nap fine in it since it is deeper even w/o any recline.
Edit- now I realize you bought it. macs are awesome and you will love how easy they are to push.

If your favorite old stroller is hard to push, what you probably need to do is spray some lubricant in the wheels. In the Maclaren owner's manual that came with my Quest they recommend silicone spray. Definitely worth a try! I've resurrected several older and beaten down strollers this way over the years...they push like new! Make sure you spray it all the way into the wheels (turn the stroller upside down) and then rotate the wheels around so the lubricant gets in everywhere.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our Maclaren stroller !!!!! I bought one for a trip to WDW when I was 6 months pregnant and travelling without the DH with our son and daughter. I could fold the stroller with one hand, carry it without any trouble on and off the buses, and the rain cover was so easy to use and fit on the stroller like a glove. The stroller did not recline all the way BUT my son did fall asleep several times. I will never buy another brand.

I was the world's biggest Maclaren fan. Several volos, Triumphs, and Quests. (I'm like some people are with cars...always trading in for the newest model.)

After dh came with me on my latest stroller shopping trip, he made me try a Peg Perego Si. He felt he should have a say because he does all of the stroller carrying/folding/loading onto WDW bus stuff on our trips!

So I got the Si and I love it! Better than any Maclaren! (But I still feel weird without a Mac and I'm secretly going to get another when he isn't looking.)

the stroller that you like so well that doesn't push very well any more have you tried lubing the wheels up with some wd40 or some car grease it may just be it needs a lube job much like a car if you run something that long it needs some tire mantinance.

Just an update! I recieved my new Triumph today! Can I just Say I LOVE it! I can't wait to use it in WDW. The recline is exactly what I wanted, just enough so her head won't fall forward when she naps. DD has sat in it all afternoon!:cutie:
