How do they differ? I found the Triumph for $120 and the Quest for $130. It's only $10 difference so I'm thinking the Quest-my only problem is that it's pink and I have a DS-but what does color matter, right? It also says the Triumph has a carry strap where the Quest has a carry handle? What's the difference?

I *think* the older Triumphs (pre-2007) don't recline. The Quests DO recline. Double check to make sure the Triumphs recline.

We have a 2006 quest. Love it for my DS 7 months. It had a nice recline and leg extenders that we use for him now. If I remember the quest was a little bit taller then the Triumph. I did want the shoulder strap instead of the handle but it is ok. We love the quest and I can highly reccomend it. Try all be baby, we got Our quest on sale in red there. Good luck!

For the price of $130, it's the much better deal.

Seat is much bigger and more plush, more comfortable

Recline is great

High resale value

Don't worry if ds doesn't like the color, I've seen them in person and that pink flower model is really nice.

We have the Triumph. Bought it last year and yes, it does recline.

We went to Babies R Us and let DD (3) try them all and she liked the Triumph the best. And since she's riding in it, we bought that one. I love McClarens and really think you can't go wrong with either one of them.

We have a Triumph and a Quest. For $10 I would go for the Quest. The triumph reclines, but only by a strap that snaps on the back, while the Quest has a 3 position recline. As mentioned by PP, the Quest also has leg extenders, so if you have a little one their legs can be supported. The carrying strap on the Triumph is nice, but both strollers are so lite it is easy to carry them without a strap or handle.

I just ordered the Quest Mod for $130 from albeebaby for our DD were expecting.
It should be delivered tomorrow. I got the pink flower model, but believe they also had the same model in blue for $149. I would definately pay a few more bucks for the blue if I had a boy. That pink looks very pink. My DH would never go for his son in a pink stroller.

I'm leaning toward the Quest too. The only problem is the color-if it was another color for the same price I'd be sold. DS is 3 1/2 so he won't use it much except at WDW and at the mall, but I have a home daycare so I'll definitely get use out of it. And I guess if and when we have more kids maybe we'll have a girl-then we'll be glad we got a pink one.

It's nice to know the Quest has more padding. We have a Volo now and DS is really uncomfortable in it after 10 minutes or so. He won't even sit in it anymore. And when we took it to WDW in Nov. he barely sat in it. He hated it. So I'm hoping he'll like the Quest. Keeping my fingers crossed.

One more question: It says the seat can be taken out and washed. Is it easy to do? Also, is there a liner underneath where the seat was (like the mesh liner on the Volo)? And since I have the Volo with the carrying strap do you think I could attach that to the Quest? Is there any place to do that?

I personally prefer the Triumph, just because of the carry strap. They are both great strollers, and I feel certain you would be happy with either of them. If you have a very young child, the pull out leg rest on the Quest might make a difference. Our son was older when we got our Quest, so we never used it. The color would make a difference to me, as all the pinks I have seen were vibrant pinks, and not something I could put my son in. I do love the blue Mod pattern the PP mentioned.

I am a recovering strollerholic, have owned several Macs and liked them all. I don't feel like you can go wrong with any of them.
Good luck with your decision.

The Quest is awesome.....when shopping for one (about 2 years ago and my memory isn't that great) the main difference I noticed between the two was the seat seemed deeper on the Quest. And you can take it apart and wash it. It took me a minute to figure it out but once I did it was easy. I handwashed and line dried mine, but I know others on here said they just tossed it in the wash on gentle and line dried it and it came out fine.

The seat does seem deeper on the Quest. I love how easy the Macs can be washed, I have a Volo hood hanging in my garage right now (DH spilled soda all over it yesterday), and my Techno is waiting to be washed, lol.

Straps can be purchased separately through Maclaren Customer service, I have considered ordering on for my Techno.

Got my Quest Mod yesterday from albeebaby and I love it. The only thing I noticed was that there were only one slot for the shoulder straps to go through. I figured that since it is a stroller from 3 mos and up that there would be different slots for the height of the straps like a car seat has. I am wondering how an infant can have the same strap slot as say a 2 year old? Anyone have problems with them not having different slots for the straps? How do your infants fit in it with the straps being so high up? Other than that I really like this stroller and cant wait to use it.

Anyone on my Quest Mod strap question? Thanks

I went to the Maclaren website and they have a great PDF file that you can print off that lists all of the strollers side by side on all of the elements, capacity, seat positions, weight, adjustable leg rest etc.

LOL - Me too! I went thru strollers faster than purses during the first few years with our smallest princess. It's gonna sound old but I can't believe how far baby gear has advanced.
29 years ago when our DS was born they didn't even have car seats. I never would have imagined one day I'd see a $200 umbrella stroller (I know they call them lightweight now but 'umbrella style' is how I still think of them.)

In any case DD6 still uses a stroller in the parks so we bought the pink fluer quest last summer just for wdw. I absolutely LOVE it! The rain cover that snaps on quickly and easily, the pocket that is big enough for my drink cup and my cell phone, the adjustable canopy & roomy basket underneath. The fact that I can actually steer it easily one handed!

Sadly after this next wdw trip DD will be a first grader, as she's informed me, and have her "rep" to consider (yup, she actually said rep - you'd never know she has older siblings, would you?) Heaven forbid, another 6 yr old might see her sitting comfy & dry in the nicest stroller I've ever owned as they walk thru the park tired and wet in a soaking rain...
Why, oh why, do they always insist on growing up so fast? :sad2:
