Mackenzies MAW Pretrip Report

So exciting to have dates! September should be an awesome time to go. I would definitely call your MAW chapter and ask about the dining reservation with the princesses, just to make sure you get the time you want. Our chapter didn't make any ADR's for us. Our expense check was pretty generous. We ate breakfast most every day at GKTW, lunch in the parks every day, and dinner in the parks all days but one. But every chapter does things differently.

Im sure well manage i made a few reservations one for crystal palace and one for 1900 park fare i just wanted something there incase the MAW did not reserve im going to write down my questions and ask them tommorow, Im also hoping we can fly out as late as possible on the last day so my daughters can enjoy the tea party at GKTW

Sounds like you guys are gearing up for it! Looks like you have a good plan set out (maybe we'll run into each other at some point--I don't think we've got the same parks on any of the same days, but our trips will overlap so I'm sure we'll run into one another at GKTW!) and I can't wait to find out if the MAW grantors get to book your daughter's princess dinner. And, yes--I hear you about dressing up--I'm 32, but I would totally wear a princess gown if I could fit in one! I think she should totally get dolled up and feel special. I'm voting that 10 is NOT to old--besides, it's almost Halloween then anyways....she would just be practicing for a month later!

I'm going to join in on the fun and exciting trip that you have coming up! You have a beautiful family and an amazing Wish daughter! My son was born a month ago with SB, hydrocephalous, bilateral club feet, and a few other medical conditions and has been in NICU since birth, 4 weeks today. It gives me hope that he may be able to walk, talk, and do everything else that the doctors are telling us he will never be able to do when I see pictures and hear stories of other SB children doing these things.

They told us mackenzie would never walk either and she now compete in regular cheerleading competitions. Im sure right now you feel hopeful and overwhelmed in one scoop but as time passes your little one will become such a blessing and GOD picked you to be the super special person to get to raise this precious child. They told me too that Katelyn would never walk!! She uses crutches & braces on her legs, but she does walk!! In my experience, it seems the doctors ALWAYS tell parents that the child won't walk. But that little boy will amaze you!! It seems like a rocky road now but it does get better!!

So Mackenzie got invited by MAW to visit the batting practice on the field of the Cincinnati Reds and then she would get to meet her favorite player. We to our surprise not only did she get to meet Drew Stubbs she has a girly crush on him she also got to meet almsot all of the players. On eplayer even gave her his very worn in batting gloves and she has a brandnew official baseball signed by all the players. If this is just a mini peice of how awesome MAW is i am thinking life is going to get very awesome in the next few weeks
