Any opinions? I need a lightweight stroller that's higher quality than my Chicco Caddy. (More recline, better hood.) This is for Disney and many other trips for my 18-month-old.
I don't know anything about the combi cosmo, but just wanted to let you know that the maclarens are rated up to 55 lbs and are great for taller kids. You might want to check out the weight/height limits of the combi to compare. My tall 6 year old can still fit in my maclaren comfortably.
Also, amazon.com may have user reviews for the cosmo. They are usually very helpful.
I don't know about these specific models, but after having 4 kids and at least 10 different strollers (perego - 4 different ones, evenflo, combi, Maclaren, Jeep Jogging) the Maclaren is my absolute favorite stroller. I had the combi lightweight and it was ok. I now have a Maclaren umbrella and LOVE it! I wish I had this one from the beginning.
We just got a Maclaren for our DD2 and now use the Bugaboo for our DS who was born in April. The Maclaren is a wonderful stroller, so lightweight! In my opinion it's better than the Bugaboo we own!!
what stops me from buying a Volo is that it doesn't recline. I have to have that. And not just a few inches. My DS naps while on vacation in his stroller, and it has to recline. I just tried out the Combi in a local baby boutique (but they're asking over $50 more than online) and I was SO impressed with the way it folds down to nothing, then folds again and locks. Very cool. And I like the safety bar, since I've got a very squirmy one.
My only worry is that the Mac probably drives smoother. Can you drive the Mac one-handed? Thanks! We're going on a non-disney vacation in 3 weeks, and I'd like a stroller to take by then.
I would go with the Mac over the Combi because the Mac will have a longer useful life. Combis are tiny and would be uncomfortable to sit in or push once the child gets a bit older.
wrldpossibility- If you're looking for a mac that reclines, look at the Triumph, Quest, or Ryder. They only add a few pounds to the overall weight, while adding a nicer canopy, a rain shield, and recline. You can steer a Mac one handed.
I got it yesterday via UPS. My DH just loves it. It is soo sturdy compared to other strollers that I looked at. We got it for our DD who is 2. You might want to check out Travelingtikes.com on the internet, that's where I got mine from. It was $137. and free shipping. I got the Pink Flag design and it is really cute. Good Luck!!!!!!
