I don't know what she did....Madison said she went to jump on the chair with her and she kinda squealed a bit....When standing.....she actually holds her back leg up.....but she still can walk on it with a little bit of a limp......I guess it seems that she can't keep constant weight on it.....like in just standing.

Man...I don't want to have to do a vet ER visit tonight....any suggestions??

Keep her activity level low. No jumping, running, etc. See how she does tomorrow and if it's still bothering her you can have it looked at. I can't tell you how many times I've been to the vet with my dogs limping, last time was 2 weeks ago. Knock on wood has never been anything serious, just sore for a few days. Aspirin would mask the pain a bit so it's not recommended. You want her to remember to rest it. Good luck. paw:

I am trying to get her to lay down with her "sucky" (blanket) on the couch...right now...Morgan is laying with her. Hopefully she won't be that wild (like she normally is 24-7).

She has "limped" in the past only to get better the next day. But this is the first time that she actually holds her whole back leg up while standing still......

Thanks for your concern...will keep you posted how she is in the morning or later this night....

Awwwww...poor baby. I bet she just has a sore foot and will be fine in a day or two. :grouphug:

My SIL's dog tore her ACL in her back leg and does exactly that, holding her back leg up. THe surgery is going to cost them $1500, yikes.

If it's happened before you might want to have the doctor check for patella luxation (not sure I spelled that right) - basically it's when their kneecap floats and it gets out of alignment and needs to be popped back into place. Our poodle Hailey has it but she's pretty good at kicking her leg out and popping it back herself. DW Lauri has it but she's not as good as Hailey at kicking it out herself ;)
