MA Drivers to Disney - Auto Ins cards

Anyone driving from MA down - have you every run into an issue because MA does not issue separate insurance cards. Not that I'm planning on getting pulled over or a ticket , but I have heard horror stories of cops just not getting that we don't "do" insurance cards.

Even though we fly down, we always take a copy of the first page of our insurance policy because we rent a car. We do this even when traveling between states around home - came in very handy when we were side swiped by a bus in DC! The officer was quite impressed w/ my being so organized!

doesn't the registration card have the insurance provider on it? I know you have to have it stamped when you buy a car but not sure if its always listed.

Ma driver here.. just have your registration set..it has your insurance listed if I am correct..we also carry a copy of our policy..just in case..but we've never had an issue ( never been pulled over though)..

Back when I lived in Massachusetts the insurance company was stamped on the back of the registration.

When we lived in MA we kept a copy of the "coverage selection page" of our insurance in the glove because we traveled out of state quite a bit.

Its also helpful for the few car rental companies that require proof of insurance or they charge you for their insurance.

All you need is your drivers license and car registration numbers, the Insurance company adjusters will do the rest of the paper work.
