M&M RAR Very Worn Entry

Was visiting Hollywood Studios two weeks ago and was absolutely stunned by the state of the entry to this ride. The carpet was not just worn, it was worn past the threads and void of color. This is a picture of only one spot. Also ran across holes in the walls, I know this was due to people just not caring about what they do or damage. But together, it really looked horrible. This is a newer ride, and it is horrible to see it in this condition. We will still come back because we love this place, but it made us a little sad in "The Happiest Place on Earth"!

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, redirect as required.

Probably caused by all the explosions that take place as you enter the queue!!

Those pics look bad - seems like a simple fix. Also seems like they need better quality carpeting to handle all the traffic.

I tried to figure out what M &M RAR is and couldn’t. What does that stand for please?

Never mind, just figured it out. Senior moment.

If given the choice, would you rather have the ride operational during your trip or down for refurbishments? I feel like Disney can never win in these circumstances.
I feel they could replace the carpet overnight, even if it takes multiple nights and they have to do it in parts.

Should have changed it out during the initial construction, carpet is cheap! Does anyone know where to submit something like this to WDW? I enjoy these boards but agree that WDW should know how I feel. Again, love this place and have been coming for many years, will continue for many more. It's just sad to see this knowing how it used to be!

Carpet seems like a strange choice for a queue, but if this ride goes down for a little while each year for refurbishments--I'm assuming it does--they should be able to replace this carpet during that time, so it should never get to a state like this. Seems like an oversight.

I was down there last month and was thinking the same thing. I don’t get how they could leave it looking like that.

When I worked at Disney 20+ years ago, they had a whole night crew that would patch and paint things at night. They could replace the carpeting in 1 night if they got all of the measurements and trimmed it correctly beforehand. My guess is that Disney is too cheap to pay for a night crew anymore. I am appalled by those pictures. The Disney Company that I worked for all of those years ago would have never let it get to that point. Disney prided itself on keeping everything looking clean and new. It's so sad how downhill WDW has gone.
