M&F weekday morning parking question

Hi, the last 2 weeks, I have gone to DL on a weekday, arriving at around 9:15 and am able to park at M&F, but am either told to park outside at the lot next to the parking structure, or on the top floor. It was really hot these last 2 weeks, so I wasn't that happy since I was hoping for covered parking. I was wondering what time you need to get there to park inside the structure. I used to be able to park on level 3 or 4, but am wondering if they changed it or if theres certain lanes that are diverted outside or to the top floor. Thanks!

It's different every day. If you don't like where you're parked, you could always go back after a few hours and reenter the lot with your receipt.

There is no known rhyme or reason to judge if and where they may divert traffic to at any given point. I am sure there is a master parking plan place each day but noting predictable enough to base what you are asking for.
