LYNX bus to do a Grocery run

I am planing a trip in febuary on a very tight budget .I am planing to use ME to get to and from POP is it practial to use a combo of Disney and the LYNX bus to do a Grocery run . We where happy using The Metro in LA during our visit to DL Last Feb .

You can take the bus to the MK, and then the monorail to the Transportation & Ticket Center and then take the Link 56 to the Wal-Mart on 192. $1.50 each way. Not very quick or efficient... I might recommend www.wegoshop.com or something.

Then: No live birds such as chickens aboard buses (actually a racial put down)

Now: No ice cream or frozen [chicken] aboard buses (you may not eat it while riding and the ride is so slow it will melt before you get back to the resort).

Wegoshop(tm) -- At first I thought they meant the Lego shop at downtown Disney with a misspelling.

We will be using wegoshop.com for the second time next week. We were very pleased with their services when we used them in October. I believe the current delivery fee is $17 plus a $2.00 fuel surchare. This will be in addition to the cost of the food they buy for you.

An alternative is to pack most of your food. You can use Disney transportation to go to PI (DTD bus) and walk to the Hess gas station (mini-mart). They have excellent pricing on things like soda and bottled water.
