got back from a dermatology appointment. I don't know why I always have these strange problems!! This one usually occurs in older women that have had a mastectomy. Back to the beginning, I have had this abdominal growth that keeps growing for about four months. I was told that it is lymphangiectasia which is being caused by "a secondary problem and this is often just the tip of the iceberg". Googled it and a lot mentions dogs since it is very rare in humans. The emedicine article was the best. I clicked treatment and it mentioned two types of cancers. Doctor said that basically something is blocking or pinching off the path of the lymphatic system. The fluid has built up enough that it is being pushed into these growths under the skin. It could be caused by scarring from my gtube and fundoplication surgery (but it is pretty far from the surgical site). I have to have surgery to remove the growth and fix the blocked lymph branch. I hate surgery. Best case scenario is that the problem is above the abdominal wall which would make a fairly simple surgery. Worst case is something I don't want to think about...Should be getting a bscan/ultrasound soon to find the point and source of the blockage. This is ridiculous.
