Do they still offer this at the Brown Derby? We did it in January and thoroughly enjoyed it, then I heard they were cancelling it. I've called the CM's at Disney Dining and have gotten several different answers -has anyone gone lately?

It's still around. We're going in August. I was told that they only book 60 days in advance.

It really is an amazing activity if you are Disney geeks like we are. It's held at the Bamboo Room at the Brown Derby and there's probably room for 6 or 7 guests besides the imagineer. I believe it's offered only on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. The gentleman we had in January was an art director and had worked extensively on the Tower of Terror and also at Disneyland Paris and was going to HongKong Disney. You order off of special menus, the food was fabulous and the converstaion never lagged. He would answer questions, talk about how he got to be an imagineer, some Disney inside stuff, etc. You could tell he adored his job and was quite willing to share his stories. You get autographed glass plates at the end for souvenirs. I think the whole thing cost about $60 or $70 plus tip, per person, but well worth it. I think they still have one for dinner at Artist Point also. When you call to make a reservation, the CM's never know what you're talking about, so you may have to get a supervisor to help.
I highly recommend this - it's really something different and informative and hopefully they won't cancel it.
